1. What we collect
When you use Softpro we collect the information you give us — your name, email address, phone number, location, and (for professionals) your trade, bio, portfolio media, availability and pricing. We also collect messages you exchange on the platform and basic usage data needed to run the service.
2. How we use it
We use your data to operate the marketplace: creating your account, displaying professional profiles, connecting customers with professionals, sending service emails (such as email verification and password resets), and keeping the platform safe.
3. What we share
Professional profiles (name, trade, service area, portfolio, pricing) are public. Customer contact details are shared with a professional only when you contact or book them. We do not sell your personal data. Our infrastructure providers (such as our hosting and database provider) process data on our behalf under contract.
4. Where your data lives
Your data is stored securely with our database provider. Media you upload (photos, videos, avatars) is stored in cloud storage and served publicly where it forms part of a public profile.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal data. Update most details from your profile page, or contact support for anything else — including account deletion. If you are in the UK/EU you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
6. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to comply with legal obligations. Messages and applications are deleted when the associated account is deleted.
